An entry from Patti
A few words from our namesake, Patti:

They predicted rain. But the day dawned bright and sunny with only intermittent puffy white cumulus clouds. The 4th of July breakfast ride and potluck lunch is becoming a tradition for the Paladins. I was already at the griddle station when our team started to arrive.

Christina, Mel, Dana, Andrea, Martha, Lito, Mike K, Sam, Laura, Gordon, Keith, Rick, Rebecca, Kevin, Mark, Chris S, Cassidy, Zach and Paul (and Mike S.) came for a French toast breakfast. Brendan and Wyatt joined in for the ride as we departed from the neighbors driveway.

During the first ride Rebecca made delicious potatoes, while a quickly returning Chris S and Cassidy and Zach helped with the turn around from breakfast clean up to Lunch prep. Chris made Mac and Cheese while Zack and Cassidy loaded the dishwasher and helped me make the cous cous salad.

After the first ride several folks peeled off and hung out at the back yard pergola when Brian Asquith showed up looking for coffee.

Then the party really started. In preparation for the riders to come back Chris Strobbe made the best smoothies imaginable and the non-riders started to show up. Tim, Carlina, Jan, Bob, Carolyn, Kai, Mira, Peg and Clea.

After lunch Sam showcased a film that was very cool, but beyond belief.
He can give you details.

It was a great way for the team to get together and spend the day.
