The League of American Bicyclists and FutureHeights are teaming up to offer a cycling class that teaches the skills needed to ride safely and confidently in traffic.
Cycling for transportation is becoming more attractive as gas prices rise and having the right cycling instruction can ease the transition to a less car dependent lifestyle.

A Sad Day in Mexico

A car collides into cyclists participating in a race in Mexico's northern border city of Matamoros, Sunday June 1, 2008. At least one person was killed and 14 injured when a driver slammed into a bicycle race.

ODOT Transportation Priorities Meeting and Survey

The Ohio Department of Transportation is going to be conducting meetings all over Ohio about sustainable transportation. Cyclists need to participate and let them know about cycling priorities. Sally Hanley of NOACA says therewill be a conference on June 17th at Cleveland State University. You can visit this link for more information andparticipate in a survey: www.dot.state.oh.us/21ctptf/.
If you have the opportunity, please attend the event at CSU and please complete the survey to let the state know you believe cycling is important! You know highway contractors are already involved. Cyclists need to speak up!
